Sandwich
A family is on holiday in Cape Cod, at the holiday house they have returned to year after year. But now the kids are grown up, and the grandparents are quite doddery, and the mum, who tells the story is menopausal. She reflects on their historical trips and how they have changed, or not.
Very good, both funny and sad.

We All Want Impossible Things
Edi and Ash are best friends but then Edi gets diagnosed with a terminal cancer. Ash then has to manage her best friend's final months at the nearby hospice (Nearby to Ash, not nearby to Edi's husband and son, slightly weirdly). Lots of friends and family are constantly in and out, grieving in their own ways.
Great book, very moving, sad and funny.
