Christie's autobiographical account of her time in the nursing profession in the UK, together with her philosophy of what makes a great nurse.

Excellent, some really moving passages, about life (and death) and what it means to be a good nurse, and how the healthcare system has so many difficult issues, and humanity is broadly wonderful (but death is inevitable). Lots of good gruesome anecdotes too of course.

Three friends, who went through medical school together, have to sort out some problems when somebody dies at a party that some of their teenage children attended. Also something similar happened to them when they were students.

OK, a bit blah blah blah. Characters all a bit meh. Plot not very believable.
