The story of the residents of Peyps Road, London, including a banker anxiously awaiting his bonus, a terminally ill woman, a young star footballer from Senegal and a Pakistani family who own the shop on the corner. Property prices have soared but the residents are worried by a strange nuisance campaign of postcards and bizarre messages arriving at their doors.

Very good - easy read, interesting plot and characters. A birthday present from Kate.

Mr Phillips wakes up on a normal Monday morning and heads in to work in London, but never gets to the office. Instead he wanders around meeting people, thinking.

Hmmm. Didn't really get this, never quite believed in the character.
