During the scientific expedition we learn through repeated flashbacks much more of the history and love-life of the Major. | Brilliant, thoroughly enjoyed this. Written in a Jules Verne 19th Century exploring the world kind of style, but with a big dash of humour and a great love story. Excellent twist and a fantastic ending too. |
