![]() | The Stars' Tennis Balls | Young gifted student gets accidentally mixed up in terrorist plot and gets carted off to weird island for 20 years then escapes and returns to society to exact revenge on those he blames for the incident in the first place. | Quite entertaining in an easy read kind of way - not very cerebral for Stephen Fry I thought. Finished it on the plane back from Exeter to Amsterdam - first book of 2007! |

![]() | Making History | Michael Young has just finished his history thesis but then meets Prof. Zuckermann who has just invented a time-machine so Michael goes back in time and stops Hitler being born, but this doesn't change the world for the better as he'd hoped. So has to go back and change it again. | Pretty good, but you can't help hearing Fry's voice as you read it. |

![]() | The Fry Chronicles | Stephen Fry's autobiography covering a seven year period from his time at Cambridge university to his first few years of comedy writing and performing. | Kind of interesting because I quite like him, but some of his writing is a bit dull and he overdoes the 'oh no here I go off into luvvie-dom again...' bit. But some interesting history of his own developing comedy and TV comedies in general. Read this on holiday at the beach house in Oakura. |
