innovative hard sci-fi that successfully creates plot devices from some pretty technical scientific concepts such as nanotech, quantum entanglement, higher dimensional space etc. However unusually for a novel focused this way, it has a lot of insight into the human condition as well.

Great, really good book, thoroughly enjoyed it. Originally published in 2008 in China, the English translation was published in 2014.
