 | H is for Hawk | Helen's dad dies and so she gets a goshawk to train. She is an experienced falconer but this is her first goshawk, and they are, of course, notoriously tricky birds to train. A memoir about grief and determination to succeed, and being a bit different, and lots of useful tips on training a hawk. I mostly read this at the GBS support society biennial conference in Rotorua.
