A good read, I am a bit intrigued by the idea of a false vacuum. An impenetrable novel with vacuum decay as the central plot device is Schild's Ladder by Greg Egan. Katie Mack is good to listen to on radio interviews and podcasts.

Interesting and entertainingly written, lots of physics jokes and not too much impenetrable stuff about event horizons and things.
